School library budgets are thin. Many DFW campuses run on about $1,500 a year, and some get nothing from their district. At a paid book fair, the children with no money to spend leave with nothing.

We can’t serve every Title I school in the DFW area, so we focus on the highest-need campuses, those with 70% or more economically disadvantaged students and 40% or more English language learners. Our priority is to serve schools with 80–90% economically disadvantaged students.
We serve children across Denton, Dallas, and Tarrant counties with free book fairs. Additionally, our Check the BOX program, which mails gently-used books upon request, serves children across the continental United States if they live in a book desert.

Yes! We accept books that are not torn, water-damaged, or annotated. We use these books for other outreaches where we do not have a specific sponsor who provides new books. We try to find a home for every book; if we are unable to do that, we trade for children’s books.
You can ask your friends, co-workers, and family to donate new and gently used books. Visit our Amazon Wish List to see titles in high demand. We can provide stand-alone donation boxes or you can create your own. Once you set the dates, gather and sort the books, we can arrange for you to bring them to our warehouse in Lewisville for a tour and photo opportunity.Email us to start.
