For qualifying schools

Do we qualify?

To qualify for a free Austin book fair, schools must meet the requirements below.

Sponsor-funded fairs go where the need is greatest.

Requirement 1

Title I elementary school (PreK–5th grade)

Requirement 2

Located within the greater Austin area

Requirement 3

70%+ economically disadvantaged OR 40%+ English Language Learners

I personally thought it was the best book fair that has ever happened. Everyone got a book. It was about books, not about money or who can buy the most, but about equality and opportunity for all. We should have this twice a year if possible!
